SUMMER FRUIT&NUT SALAD

U NEED:
Red apple: 1
Green apple: 1
Guava:1
Green papaya(optional):1/2
Orange segments: 1 cup
Lemon juice: 1 tsp
spring onions(diced): 1/2 cup
walnuts: 1/2 cup
roasted peanuts: 2 tablsp


DRESSING:
Olive oil/vegetable oil: 2 tablsp
honey: 1 tablsp
fresh cream: 1 tablsp
salt & pepper to taste.


METHOD:
1. In a big bowl add sliced red& green apples,sliced guava,sliced green papaya,orange segments and lemon juice. Toss well.Keep in fridge.


2. In another bowl whisk vigorously the oil,honey and salt&pepper( 2 mins). Add the cream and mix well.


3.Before serving,bring out the salad from the fridge.Add walnuts,peanuts and the prepared dressing.Toss lightly,Serve as a refreshing salad for lunch.

JHAL MURI

U need:
Puffed rice ( Muri); 2 cups
Onion minced fine: 2 tblsp
Potato:(boiled and cut): 1 tablsp
Roasted peanuts: 1 tablsp
cucumber(sliced fine): 1 tablsp
Green chillies(minced fine): 1 tsp
mustard oil: 1 &1/2 tsp
salt to taste
lemon juice: 1 tsp
coriander leaves: 2 tsp


Dry roast and grind to a fine powder:
jeera: 2 tsp
red chilli: 2


In a bowl add all the ingredients together.Add the ground powder.Toss well with a spoon.


Serve as a teatime snack.
